December 20, 2020. Dawn is predeceased by her parents, Hazel John Jansen. She is survived by her sons, Todd (Valerie), Michael (Kara), Jeff (Vicky) Hockenberger; grandchildren, Peter (Angelle Martin) Doherty, Tyler (Michaela Anderson), Rachel, Jessica, Justin, Daniel, Alyssa Hockenberger; also survived by cousins dear friends.
Services will be announced in the future at an appropriate time. Her burial in Furnaceville Cemetery was private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to, National Kidney Foundation, 1344 University Ave., Suite 270, Rochester, NY 14607 in Dawn's memory.

Dawn was born in Rochester, NY on November 15, 1940 to John and Hazel Jansen. Dawn grew up on Locust Street in Williamson, NY right across the street from a cemetery. She graduated from Williamson Highschool in 1959. She loved participating in the Williamson Apple Blossom Parade and Carnival as a majorette. Growing up she attended Dutch Church.
In 1961 Dawn attended Genesee Hospital School of Nursing and became a NYS Registered Professional Nurse in 1963.
Dawn raised 3 boys, Todd, Mike Jeff. They loved to go camping and go to concerts. Dawn always enjoyed going to her sons sporting events while they were growing up. All the neighborhood kids always gathered at their house. She always tried to make things equal between the boys and later between her grandchildren as well.
Dawn enjoyed the Mets the Braves baseball teams she liked to go to the NYS Casino's. Her favorite foods were Dutch lettuce and cheeseburgers from Schallers. She loved to watch tv shows, Dancing with the Stars Jeopardy. In 2008 Dawn and her entire family traveled to Florida, a trip that will be always be cherished.
Dawn loved going shopping with her grandchildren and watching them in all of their events. The grandchildren loved her Christmas Cookies. She will be missed by all of her friends and family.
