Greece: Deborah passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2017 surrounded by her loving family; her husband, Gary; her children, Michael, Brianna, and Gary; also survived by her sisters, Kathy Williams, Linda Parmele, Mary (Ted) Ulm; brothers, Walter (Debbie), Fred (Deborah), Robert, James Scott (Lisa) Williams, Bernie (Kim) and Fred (Maureen) Scott; many loving and caring nieces, nephews, god-children, great-nieces and nephews; as well as extended family who all miss her dearly. There to welcome her home, her loving mother, Mary Thomas, and her beloved mother-in-law, Dolores Ciulla.
Deborah's unconditional love for her family was absolute. It was apparent in every moment of her life and left a resounding impact on everyone she touched. Deborah's love of life was equaled only by the passion with which she lived it, whether planning vacations, watching the Bills, throwing parties, or running slow and looking good, she made every moment count. There are no words to convey how much she will be missed, safe to say that she will be loved Forever and For always by the family she loved so much.
Deborah's visitation will be held 2-4 7-9 PM on Monday, August 21 at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated 9:30am on Tuesday at St. John The Evangelist Church, 2400 West Ridge Rd. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations may be sent to Roswell Park Alliance Foundation, Ovarian Cancer Research, PO box 631, Buffalo, NY 14263 in Deborah's memory.
Deborah was born on September 10, 1959 to Howard Scott Mary Thomas. She grew up in Rochester, NY with many sisters and brothers. Deborah graduated from John Marshall High School. She continued her education and went on to earn her Associates Degree at Monroe Community College. Deborah worked as a National Account Manager at Glidden Paint. Her husband Gary is a Police Officer and he was dining at Sambos Restaurant on West Henrietta Road when he met Deborah while she was working there as a waitress. They eventually married and had three wonderful children, Michael, Brianna and Gary. The most important thing in Deborah's life was her family. Some of her best times included family vacations, especially to Disney World. Deborah really enjoyed running marathons. She ran a total of 14 marathons including the Disney Marathon. Deborah was a member of the Bagel Brunch Runners. She was very active in her church and was considered an avid Buffalo Bills football fan. Deborah was described as a loving mother and wife. She was a devote Catholic and possessed a beautiful energetic spirit that touched everyone around her. Deborah will always be deeply missed and her wonderful life and many fond memories will be cherished and will continue to live in the hearts and minds of Deborah's many friends and loving family members.
