As a young boy growing up in Italy, Domenic became cultured in the many beautiful traditional ways of his country. He had lived through World War II having escaped to the hills with his family, where at one point they survived by eating dandelion greens. As time went on Domenic married the love his life Josephine in Italy, a marriage that lasted a lifetime for Domenic, 59 years! Domenic then had to serve in the military and joined the Italian Air Force. Meanwhile, Josephine came to America with her mom, but Domenic followed soon after when his time serving in the Air Force was done, and they would start their new life in Rochester , NY where they had their two daughters Nancy and Maly. Throughout his life Domenic was a hardworking, loving, and dedicated family man. He worked as a foreman at Hickey Freeman and a real estate agent for Nothnagle Realty. He was a caring man with a heart of gold that welcomed everyone into his heart. He was that person that was wise and always there to help someone with their personal or business matters and he would give the best advice! Domenic was a class act and dapper in his style and in how went about doing the things he did. He loved to read, fish, hunt, garden, and go to the Public Market. He was a wonderful cook and baker who was well known for his fabulous homemade pizzas, but we all couldn't wait for his very special traditional Christmas Eve "Zippuli." Domenic has many relatives and friends that truly loved him and looked to him as a father. He was "The Dom!" and was indeed a true renaissance man.
