Dominic DiMarzo
Greece: January 26, 2024 at the age of 75. Dom was born in Gaeta, Italy and immigrated to the US at age 7. He is predeceased by his parents Cosmo & Yolanda DiMarzo; sisters & brother in-laws Angelina & Vincent Natale; Cristoforo Faggiano; Laura & Louis Grossi.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 43 years, Susan (Soczynski); children Noelle (Dr. Craig) Collins, Dana (Christopher) Barnes, & Joseph (Anh) DiMarzo; grandchildren Isabella, Adrian, & Henry Collins, Cameron, Tyler & Stella Barnes, & Charlie & Leo DiMarzo; siblings Maria Faggiano, Anna Spezio, Salvatore, Frances & Teresa DiMarzo; sister and brother in law Nancy & Louis Ferrari; and many nieces & nephews.
Dominic was a graduate of Jefferson High School and served in the US Army in the Vietnam War. He retired from Eastman Kodak after 31 years and continued his work as a Landlord in the City of Rochester for a total of 40 years.
Dom took meticulous care of his many properties and he was a self-taught handyman extraordinaire. He had a passion for improving his children's homes also and would think nothing to demo a tile floor or kitchen, go on a high roof, or paint a 2 story foyer on a ladder at 65 yrs old. If it were for his kids, he would do anything.
He loved home improvement shows, following the stock market, 60's rock and roll, classic cars, and he was a news and history buff. He especially loved spending time with his family most of all, telling them childhood stories and passing on his wisdom on life.
Dominic's visitation will be held 9:00 to 10:30 on Friday, February 2nd at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane. His funeral service will follow at 10:30. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
