Doris E. Gendron

Rochester, NY

Survived by her husband of 56 years and lifelong love, Michael Gendron, and daughter Patricia (Jeffrey) Machols, granddaughters Alexa and Jordan Machols, and sister Barbara Fitzsimmons, and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her mother, Mary Czyzewski, brother Richard Czyzewski, and nephew Scott Miller.

A lifelong resident of Rochester, NY, she was devoted to her husband of 56 years and took immense pride in her cherished daughter and beloved granddaughters. She adored her Shih Tzu companions, Muffin and Oreo, whose presence brought her daily joy. Known for her boundless care and concern, she was always checking in on family and friends, making sure everyone in her life felt supported and loved. She treasured family vacations to the Thousand Islands, day trips to Niagara-on-the-Lake, and countless adventures throughout Upstate New York. From time to time, she also delighted in traveling farther, visiting places like Toronto, Montreal, Florida, Colorado, Bermuda, Hawaii, the Pacific Northwest, Cape Cod, and Nova Scotia. She found peace walking and sitting by the water, watching sunsets, and getting lost in a good book. She will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Donations can be made in her memory to the Lupus Foundation of America, www.lupus.org
