Greece: June 1, 2021 at age 85. Gene is predeceased by his parents, Bart and Sue Noto. He is survived by his sister, Emily (Frank) Andolino; brother, Bart (Sandy) Noto; nephews, Frank (Jordan Mallah) Andolino, Bart (Kris) Andolino, Justin Noto; niece, Susan (Dominic) Bozzelli; great nephews, Michael Andolino, Dominic Bozzelli; great nieces, Bianca Bozzelli, Kathryn Andolino; many cousins and friends. Dr. Gene was retired from Genesee Hospital. He was a Master Gardener and Judge of Roses.
Dr. Gene's life story will be shared during his visitation on Monday, June 7, 2021 from 4-7 pm at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane (between Rte. 390 & Long Pond Rd.) His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 8 at 10:00 am at St. John the Evangelist Church, 2400 W. Ridge Rd. Internment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Stroke Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692.
Dr. Gene was a graduate of the Aquinas Institute in 1953, he went on to Niagara University and graduated in 1957. He worked for Atomic Energy Commission for Cancer Research at Strong Community Hospital.
He studied in Italy for 8 years where he received his degree in medicine and surgery. His career led him to many area hospitals such as Highland, Rochester General, Monroe Community Hospital and he even worked at Genesee Hospital for 25 years. All the nurses loved and adored him.
Dr. Gene was Twice President of the Rose Society. He was District Director of New York State and Toronto for American Rose Society. Gene was a Master Gardner since 1998, and was a Master Gardner with Cornell Cooperative Extension of Monroe County.
