Canton, GA - Edna passed away peacefully at age 80 in Canton, Ga on July 27, 2019. Predeceased by her parents Albert Iris Hamilton and brother Winston. Edna is survived by her faithful and loving husband of 55 years - Alpheus; daughter Jacqueline Blake-Broughton (Craig); siblings, Marva Hamilton, Violeta Carvalho (Fabian), Myrtle Santiago and Dorothy Cummings; nieces, nephews and many friends. Edna Blake was a devoted and loving spouse, mother, sister, aunt and friend. She's always the first person to give and the last one to leave. Edna's life story will be shared during visitation 3-7 pm on Friday Aug 2, 2019 at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane Rochester, NY 14626 (Between 390 Long Pond Rd.). Her funeral service will be held on Saturday 11:00 am at Bethany Presbyterian, 3000 Dewey Ave, Rochester, NY 14616. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery. She was the 3rd child of Iris Albert Hamilton. After graduating from high school she left her beloved country and moved to the United States where she married her childhood love, Alpheus Blake. Out of their union they were blessed with the love and joy of their life, daughter Jacqueline. They raised her with love, compassion and the belief that all things are possible through faith in God.
