Survived by Survived by her children, John (LuAnn) Farley, Pat (Dick) Poinan, Jim (Diane) Farley, Colleen (Bob) Michael, Donald Riefer of TX.; 15 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Mickey Heid, Robert (Judy) Neary of TX., Rosemarie (Lynn) Bradt of NV., Bernard Neary of FL.; sister-in-law Pat Farley; several nieces and nephews. History Betty loved her family, especially her grandchildren. many of the family traditions she started or inherited have been passed on to her family. She always looked forward to Christmas, family reunions and birthdays. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, baking, canning and travel. Betty had a very diverse personality. She was patient, strong willed, loving, caring, nurturing, easy going, strong, helpful, compassionate and dedicated. Betty was also very proud of her Irish heritage. Betty was a faith filled person, this was very evident in her volunteerism with her church. Donations In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Sunset House, 3746 St. Paul Blvd., Rochester, NY 14617 in Betty's memory. Services BARTOLOMEO PEROTTO Funeral Home, Inc., 1411 Vintage Lane (Between 390 Long Pond Rd.) where Betty's visitation will be Tuesday, August 9th, 4-8 PM. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, August 10th, 10:30 AM at St. Anne Church, 1600 Mt. Hope Ave. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery private. Additional Information Betty was a Past President of the City of Rochester School Board. She was a member and Past President of the Holy Cross Rosary Society. She was active with the Democratic Party. She also served as treasurer of the TOPS Club. Betty through the years opened her home to many foster children.
