Greece: November 27, 2016. Libby is predeceased by her: husband, John F. Cullen (Jack); parents, Lloyd, Corrine, and Vera Cox; sisters: Mary Ann and Linda. brother-in-law: James J. Cullen; sister-in-law: Mary Ellen Cannon, and lifetime friend, Sr. Teresa Bolha. Survived by her children, Mary Anne Cullen, Ellen (Jim) Mandel, Joe (Yvonne) Cullen, Paula (Joe) Guck, Suzanne (Butch) Coglitore, Mike (Tammy) Cullen, and Kelly Cullen-Walsh; grandchildren, Jimmy (Marcela), Jesse, Louis, Natalie, Shane, Jonathan, Tyler, Estina, Joey, Janelle, Valerie, Megan, Kristina (Brian), Benjamin, Tori, Max, Jack, Bobby, Danny, and Shelby; two great grandchildren; brother-in-law & sister-in-Law, David T. Libby was raised in Charlotte, NY and married her high school sweetheart, the love of her life, Jack Cullen. Together they cherished their lifetime of marriage, many special friendships, and the gift they considered their greatest asset, their seven children and many grandchildren!
Libby has been described by many as a kind and quiet lady who was known for her countless acts of kindness and caretaking. Her character, a women with endless patience and infinite grace; even till her death.
Libby graduated from Nazareth Academy. She went on to Brockport College where she attained her degree in Physical Education. She taught P.E. at St. Charles Borromeo School for more than 20 years.
She was an avid swimmer at the Maplewood YMCA and could be seen in the neighborhood rollerblading or riding her bike on any given day; she was clearly the athlete of the family!
Many savored her apple pies, along with annual cranberry and banana breads. Libby was an enthusiast of life, celebrating all that she had been blessed with faith, friends, and her family.
Libby's visitation will be Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 at the Funeral Home, 1411 Vintage Lane, (Between 390 & Long Pond Rd.). Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday 9:30 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 3003 Dewey Ave., followed by her interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Rochester Ataxia Foundation, PO Box 16560, Rochester, NY 14616 in Libby's memory.
