Wintermute, Eric J. Greece: May 14, 2015 at the age of 68. Predeceased by his parents Frederick Mary (White) Wintermute. He is survived by his loving wife, Gail (Angelone) Wintermute; daughter, Karen M. (Patrick) Hughes; grandchildren, Kyle P. Hughes Erika N. Hughes; sister-in-law, Peg (David) Keefer. Many nieces, nephews, great-nieces great-nephews. Eric served in the Navy during the the Vietnam war worked as a Pressman for Eastman Kodak Co. Eric's visitation will be held 9:00-10:30 am on Saturday, May 23rd at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane. His Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 am at Our Mother Of Sorrows Church, 5000 Mount Read Blvd. Entombment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Hope Hall, 1612 Buffalo Rd, Rochester NY 14624, Holy Cross School, 4488 Lake Ave, Rochester NY 14612 or Our Mother of Sorrows Church, 5000 Mt. Read Blvd, Rochester NY 14612 in Eric's memory. Eric was born on January 31, 1947 to Fred Mary Wintermute in Syracuse, NY. During his youth, Eric became an Eagle Scott and enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling and soccer. After high school, he attended the Kendall School of Design in Michigan. Eric spent 4 years serving in the U.S. Navy. During this time, he served 2 tours during the Vietnam War. After his discharge from the Navy, he married his wife Gail and had a daughter, Karen. Eric went on to work at Eastman Kodak in Rochester for 30 years. He also worked as a school bus driver for 10 years. One of Eric's most special events in life was the cruise he took with his wife to celebrate their 25 anniversary. Eric was known to be a very loving and caring family man. His daughter and grandchildren were upper most in his mind. His many loved ones will miss him terribly and will fondly remember him with cherished memories.
