Gene is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Maysie (Frisk); daughter, Cindy Rich and her husband Michael; son, Jim Goodreau and his wife Sueane; cherished grandchildren Dominic, Joseph, Josephine, and Will; brother, Merle Goodreau and his wife Monica; sister, Evy Close and her husband Joe; brother-in-law, Alan Frisk and his wife Janet; many nieces and nephews; and special family friend, Helen Hemmer. Donations In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society Memorial Processing Center, 6725 Lyons St., PO Box 7, East Syracuse, NY 13057 or the Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center, 3111 Winton Rd. South, Rochester, NY 14623 in Gene's memory. Services Gene's Memorial Service will be 11:00am, Saturday, October 29 at Hope Lutheran Church, 1301 Vintage Lane. Burial Private. Additional Information Gene, son of the late Stuart and Marguerite Goodreau, was born on December 13, 1935 in Wellsboro, PA. Gene was a member of the Greece community for over 50 years. He graduated from the Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester and had a long and proud career of 39 years at the Eastman Kodak Company. Throughout his life, Gene took immense pleasure in numerous activities including hunting, fishing, camping, boating, music, home improvement projects, and worldwide travel. Gene was an avid runner for 30 years and made regular visits to the Northwest Branch YMCA. To all that knew him, he served as an incredible role model of how to lead a most healthy life. Gene had a tremendous and beautiful enthusiasm for life and all it had to offer him. He will be greatly missed by his family, many dear friends, travel companions, golf buddies, Ohio fishing friends, and his maple syrup-making partner.
