Filiberto was born in Foggia, Italy on January 21, 1924 to Orlando Maria and immigrated to the United States in 1956. He met his wife in his home town in Italy and they raised their family here in the U.S. He went to work early as a merchant to help support his family. He served in the Italian Army and was a master tailor at McFarland's, Fashion Park, and National Clothing Company. Filiberto loved holidays, especially Christmas Eve. He was an avid movie watcher and liked old black and whites such as John Wayne, Gary Cooper, and Clark Gable movies. Some of his favorite activities included cooking, religion, and spending time with family. He was a big soccer fan and was very passionate about Italian teams. Family and friends would best describe Filiberto as being strong-willed, fiercely loyal to his family, a charmer, meticulously well dressed, traditional, hard working, selfless, intelligent, witty, and someone who always put his family first. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
