Additional Information Florence was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt, who will be deeply missed. Her unselfish and positive attitude was one to be admired. Although she had some health struggles, her strength of character and one-of-a-kind personality remained constant. Not a day went by, that she didn't demonstrate the importance of love, family and taking care of those around her. She was a survivor and never gave up, no matter how difficult the situation was. She sacrificed over the years in a quiet, selfless way. Watching her, is the reason I've had the strength to endure some things in my life I've had to be strong for and I thank her for that and much more. She took great pleasure in the relationships she forged throughout her life. My mother always had alot of little sayings. She used to write them on little pieces of paper and tape them up inside the cupboard doors. She had one that said: "Make new friends, but keep the old. One is silver, the other gold." And that she did!! She had friends that she kept for 50 years or longer, who loved and respected her. She was very funny and constantly made people laugh. She could never tell a joke, without messing up the punch line. The kitchen was her favorite room, always filled with great food, funny stories and an extra plate. She liked to cook and loved feeding people. Most of my friends growing up, to this day, remember the food she fed them. Eat, Eat, sit down and Eat!! I can still hear her saying that. She appreciated the little things in life and it didn't take much to please her. In the last few years, her favorite thing to do was go to Charlotte Beach, feed the ducks, ride the carrousel and get an Abbotts Ice Cream. She was so happy when she was there. I remember my mother telling me this, one of her "sayings" and I never forgot it. "Memories are treasures that no one can steal. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal." Well, my heart is aching today Mom. I will always love and miss you! Until we are re-united again, Rest in Peace!!
