Born in: Brooklyn, NY
Resided in: Penfield, NY
Frank Aprilano died peacefully, surrounded by family, on July 1, 2025, at the age of 90. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who dedicated his life to his family.
Born on October 8, 1934, in Brooklyn, NY, Frank moved to Rochester, NY, as a young boy. He was a proud Eagle Scout and graduate of Aquinas Institute, Class of 1952; both of which deeply shaped his values and character. He went on to study at Union School of Pharmacy and later opened April Drugs with his parents. Practicing pharmacy for 52 years, Frank found deep fulfillment in his work, the community it served, and the friendship it fostered.
Frank was a passionate fan of the Bills, Yankees, and all things sports. Over the years, maintaining his yard, barn, and cars were favorite hobbies -as was his daily YMCA routine. The ultimate generous host who loved a party, Frank was the first to welcome you to his home, offer you a cocktail, and give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Above all, Frank was a loyal friend whose greatest joy and pride was his family.
Frank is predeceased by his parents, Frank Aprilano & Constance Aprilano; his first wife, Faye Aprilano; brother-in-law, Dr. Richard Proia. Frank is survived by his loving wife, Joanne (DiPrima) Aprilano; children, Frank (Dexter Cromley) Aprilano, Steven Aprilano, Michele (Jeff) Mosca, Christine (Dion) Mraz; grandchildren, Steven (Maggie) Aprilano, Katharine Mosca, Caroline Mosca, Josie Mraz, Lia Mraz; great-grandchildren, Annie Aprilano & Stevie Aprilano; sister, Marilyn (Dick Flynn) Proia; brothers & sisters-in-law, Mary (Gary) Reeves & Michael (Kathy) DiPrima; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 14th, 10:00 am at St. Joseph Church, 43 Gebhardt Rd., Penfield. Immediately following, he will be laid to rest in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
