Survived by sons, Michael (Rose Mary) Verno Frank (Susan) Verno Jr; grandchildren, Jeff (Gena) Verno, Jill Marie (Joe) Lombardo, Lisa (Michael) Marrapese, Kara Verno; great-grandchildren, Adam Verno, Tyler Lombardo, Michael Marrapese; sisters-in-law, Mary Verno, Carmella DeSisti, Judy DeSisti; brothers-in-law, Vincent Stelluto, Ted Tedesco. several nieces nephews. Visitation is 4-8 PM on Friday at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane (between 390 Long Pond Rd). Frank's funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday at 9:30 AM at St. Theodore's Church, 168 Spencerport Rd, Rochester. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lifetime Care Hospice, 3111 Winton Rd S, Rochester, NY 14623 in Frank's memory. Frank was born on March 16, 1920 in Rochester, NY to Michael Raffaela. He left school at an early age to help his family. Frank always loved to travel and visited many places such as Italy, Europe, Mexico, California, Las Vegas, and took several cruises. Some of his other hobbies included spending time outdoors, working in the yard, dancing with his wife Caroline, and he was always handy and working on home projects. Sunday dinner, family picnics and holiday gatherings were among Frank's favorite ways to spend time with his family. In his spare time, he enjoyed western and war movies, Big Band music, and watching baseball. He was also a good cook and enjoyed smoking a good cigar. Family and friends would best describe Frank as someone who was tough, caring, independent, and never complained. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
