Cappella, Gail (Young) Gail was born in Buffalo, to June and Gerald Young, on March 19th, 1954. She married the love of her life Frank Cappella on September 21st, 1973. Together they committed themselves to their sons and, later, their grandchildren. A devoted mother Gail could always be found on the sidelines rooting enthusiastically for her son's teams. Gail was a master in the kitchen, and enjoyed sharing her delicious creations. She loved gardening, her poodles (Angie, Sammy and Pepper), chatting around the kitchen table and the Buffalo Bills. Gail spent her career helping children, spending over 20 years working with special needs students and helping students prepare for life after high school while working at the Greece Athena College and Career Center. In her career and her private life Gail was a generous soul who shared her love and joy with everyone that knew her. Pre-deceased by her husband, Frank Cappella; father Gerald Young; sister, Sandra Young. Gail is survived by her sons, Frank (Jennifer) Cappella, Joseph (Sarah) Cappella; grandchildren, Joey, Frank, Anthony, Georgina Giovanna Cappella; mother, June Young, sister Sue (Charlie) Minneci; brother Gerald (Kathy) Young; several nieces and nephews. Internment on Wednesday, June 21st at 11:00AM at Christ Our Light Chapel in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
