Additional Information Grace Palumbo was born on October 10, 1931 in the Dutchtown Neighborhood of the City of Rochester. Grace graduated from Madison High School in 1950. She met her devoted husband Mario Palumbo in 1956 in Brazil. They returned to Rochester and were married in 1957. Grace had two children Carla Palumbo and Thomas Palumbo and welcomed into the family Tom's partner Elizabeth Keller. Grace was a talented knitter and owned Boutique Yarns, a specialty yarn shop for a number of years. Skilled at bookkeeping she worked side by side with Mario in the family business first in home construction and later in real estate. She loved to knit, to read and as many of her friends and family know, she loved to play cards. Grace was an avid soccer fan and spent many an afternoon cheering for her favorite teams. She loved dogs and raised boxers in her younger years and was a devoted grandma to her new granddog Uli. Above all else Grace was a devoted wife, mother, friend and grand-godmother. She will be missed by her many long time friends and especially her grand-goddaughter Sharon Pizzola. She was fiercely protective of her family and will be missed immensely. Grace's family wishes to extent our thanks to the gentle caregivers of Unity Hospital ICU and Dr. Lyons for the excellent caring treatment she received in her last days and the kindness that was extended to us during this difficult time.
