Gregory R. Rowley

July 8, 1948 ~ June 1, 2025

Born in: Jamestown, NY
Resided in: Rochester, NY

Gregory R. Rowley, 76, of Rochester, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2025.

Born and raised in Jamestown, NY, Greg was a proud graduate of Jamestown High School and Jamestown Community College. He went on to enjoy a long and fulfilling career at Kodak, where he made many lifelong friends and ultimately retired.

A man of many passions, Greg had a deep love for classic cars-especially his beloved Corvette-and could often be found at local car shows or tuned in to a NASCAR race. He took great pride in keeping both his lawn and his vehicles in pristine condition, always with an eye for detail and a sense of pride in everything he maintained.

He was a loyal Buffalo Bills fan through thick and thin.

Greg was also a devoted feline lover who spent many years supporting spay and neuter efforts in his neighborhood, making a real impact in his community. He shared an especially close bond with his cherished cat, “Kitty.”

He is survived by his loving daughter, Jody Rowley Brooks (Jonas Chappel); grandchildren, Tyler Brooks, Bailey Brooks & Hayden Chappel; great-granddaughter, Gianna Rosina Dzuricky; and his brother, Michael (Susan) Rowley. He also leaves behind his dear friend, Vonzella Phipps-Yawn, as well as numerous beloved friends and extended family throughout Rochester, Jamestown, and Florida.

Greg will be remembered for his kindness, his dedication to both animals and community, and the quiet but steady love he showed those close to him.

He will be deeply missed.
