Greece: November 11, 2014 at age 74, passed away peacefully after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Predeceased by her father, Carl Raetz; mother, Mary Raetz (Kiernan); sister, Margaret (Foos). She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, George J. Robbins, Sr; sons, George Jr. and Stephen (Angie); 5 grandchildren, Katherine, Alaina, Cole, Ashley, Ryan; sister, Elizabeth (Kennedy); many nieces, nephews, cousins. Born June 11, 1940, Irene attended Holy Apostles Catholic School and graduated from Nazareth Academy in 1958 where she served as Co-Editor of the school newspaper, The Gabriel. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from SUNY Brockport with a Bachelor's Degree in English and minors in Theatre and Journalism. She went on to work as a teacher and later worked as a librarian at North Greece Public Library. Irene's Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM Friday at St. John the Evangelist Church of Greece, 2400 W. Ridge Road. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sisters of St. Joseph, 150 French Rd, Rochester NY 14618-3822 in Irene's memory.
