Isabelle Cutaia

December 7, 1931 ~ July 16, 2026

Born in: Rochester, NY
Resided in: Fairport, NY

Greece: Isabelle Cutaia peacefully on July 16, 2026, at age 94.

Isabelle was predeceased by her husband Chuck Cutaia; brothers Joe Natale, Mike Natale, Ange Natale, & Vito Natale; and daughter-in-law Sue Cutaia.

Isabelle is survived by her children, Jerry (Marie) Cutaia, Chuck Cutaia, Jim (Debbie) Cutaia & Cheryl (Ara) Simonian; grandchildren, Joe (Christie) Cutaia, Mike (Andraya) Cutaia, David (Jen) Cutaia, JJ Cutaia, Christina (Alex) Nagy, Katie Cutaia, Kevin (Shana) Cutaia, Chelsea (Jared) Salatino, CJ (Kara) Cutaia, Dr. Jimmy Cutaia; 17 great-grandchildren; brother Rich (Gwen) Natale; sisters-in-law Linda Whitcomb & Marietta Natale; many nieces and nephews; and her many dear friends.

Isabelle took great pride in her role as mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She showed her love by preparing delicious meals for her family. Her grandchildren are known for counting down the days until the “best meal of the year”, Grandma Belle’s Christmas dinner featuring gnocchi, eggplant, meatballs, chicken cutlets, and her perfected sauce.

Beyond the holiday table, Isabelle was known for her treats. Family and friends could always count on her homemade pizzelles, sesame cookies, and vanilla and chocolate meatballs, all of which became favorites across generations.

Isabelle also enjoyed crocheting and was rarely without a project in progress. She made blankets for each of her children and grandchildren before turning her attention to future great-grandchildren, ensuring they, too, would have something handmade from her. She was well known for the countless washcloths she made and shared with family and friends.

Isabelle’s legacy lives on through the traditions she established, the recipes she shared, and the handmade gifts that continue to be used and appreciated by those who knew and loved her.

Isabelle’s Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, July 22nd, 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Cathedral, 296 Flower City Park, Rochester, NY. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
