James A. Kunkel, Jr.

Born August 6, 1938. Died November 15, 2024 after a long illness. Predeceased by parents James Sr. and Harriet and son James III. Leaves behind sons, Tom (Cathie), Bob (Sharon); daughter-in-law, Jean; brother, John; niece, Kim; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Jim was a devoted father and grandfather. He was very involved in Boy Scouting throughout his life earning the Eagle rank, OA Vigil, Silver Beaver, and many more awards. He influenced many scouts, including 14 Eagles in his family. He was an Army veteran and a quality engineer at Eastman Kodak.

Jim’s life story will be shared during visitation on Wednesday, November 20th from 4-7 pm at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, November 21st at 10:30 am at Holy Cross Church, 4492 Lake Ave. Interment in Avon Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made in James’s name to Boy Scouts of America, Seneca Waterways Council, 2320 Brighton-Henrietta Town Line Rd. 14623.
