Jim is survived by his wife Linda Reus DePuy; children, Adam (Casey Maxwell) DePuy, Ryan DePuy, Marissa (Paul) Perotto; grandchildren, Shaylin DePuy, Alexandrea Perotto, Brin DePuy & Anthony Perotto; he is also survived by siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
Jim's visitation will be Saturday at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 1040 State Route 31 from 10 AM -2PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Guiding Eyes for the Blind, Wayne Region, 611 Granite Springs Road, Yorktown Heights, NY 10598 or to Town of Macedon Recreation Soccer Program, 30 Main St., Macedon, NY 14502 in Jim's memory. James was born on October 13, 1947 to Peter & Thelma DePuy. He grew up in the town of Fairport and graduated from Fairport High School. During his youth, James served in the United States Army and on October 23, 1971, he married his wife Linda at the First Congregational Church of Fairport. James and Linda went on to have 3 children, Adam, Ryan and Marissa. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and was always very active in his children's and grandchildren's lives. James enjoyed participating in many sports and hobbies as well. He was a soccer coach for both girls and boys soccer teams. He liked to go horseback riding, play poker, fish and play softball. James liked to watch Lacrosse games and car races and he also raised puppies for the organization, Guiding Eyes for the Blind. James also loved rock and roll music and was a NY Yankees baseball fan. Some of his favorite T.V. shows were Wheel of fortune and Jeopardy. James was described as a calm, dedicated and easy going individual. He was known to be sarcastic and possess and good sense of humor. James will be deeply missed and will always be lovingly remembered by many friends and family.
