James Aube Thompson Sr, Age 61 of Hamlin, NY passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday September 12, 2019 at Unity Hospital at Park Ridge in Rochester, NY. Jim enjoyed more than anything, his family. His greatest joy occurred the day he became a proud Papa to his only grandson, David Matthew Thompson. Jim's interests included singing incorrect song lyrics, attempting to fix used cars, starting household projects, keeping up with his family, friends, and strangers on social media, and doing his family's taxes. He loved spending time outdoors, especially camping all over the northeast U.S. and Ontario, Canada. Jim is survived by his wife, Kristan(Young), his sons, James Jr, Zackary(Jazzmine Lamb), Ethan(Molly), Jacob(Jessica Moriarty), his daughter Grace, and his grandson, David, all of Rochester,NY; his brothers Patrick(Barbara) of Niagara Falls, NY and Kenneth(Laura) of Stamford, CT; his mother in law Suzanne Young(Verch) of Wilson, NY and his sister and brother in law Kimberly and Thomas Jeffree of Wilson, NY; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and special family friends. He was predeceased by his mother Phyllis(Aube), his father Irvin Jr, and two brothers, Michael and Paul.
