Greece, NY – Peacefully passed on June 4, 2026, at the age 88. Jane is predeceased by her parents, Jacob and Helen Dengler, sister Helen, and loving husband of 62 years, Richard Ketchum Sr. She is survived by her children, Richard (Kathleen) Ketchum Jr, David (Deb) Ketchum, Lisa (Paul) Witkowski, and Michael (Brenda) Ketchum; grandchildren, Andrea (Ryan) Fisher, Jennifer (Jason) Dennie, Rory Ketchum, Erica Ketchum, Rowan Ketchum, Jason Witkowski, Jessica Witkowski, and Benjamin Ketchum; six great grandchildren, and her two dogs, Tori & Maggie.

Family was central to Jane’s life. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren with everything she had. Her greatest joy was holidays and birthdays, when the entire family would be together, even though it was usually pure chaos. In her earlier years, she raised her own four children and then went on to help care for her grandkids, in addition to assisting her husband run his business. After that, she spent over 25 years working at H&R Block, first as a receptionist and then as an Office Manager at several different locations, which she did up into her 80s. She was an active volunteer throughout her life including at Greece Town Library up until a few months ago. She also loved her dogs and instilled that passion in her family.

In addition to raising her family, Jane enjoyed many activities with her friends including camping, poker club, bowling, and coffee hour. Jane loved to garden and sew, including making many gifts for her family throughout the years. For the past several years, she enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles with her family, especially Lisa.

Jane’s life story will be shared during visitation on Thursday, June 11th from 4-7 pm at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane, 14626. Jane’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 12th at 10:30 am at Our Mother of Sorrows, 5000 Mt. Read Blvd., 14612. Immediately following, she will be laid to rest in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
