History She is survived by her son, Peter Jr. (Theresa) Wills; father, Wilbur Fisher; sister, Laura (Kevin) McGurgan; brother, William (Pon) Fisher; sister-in-law, Marilyn Smith; nieces nephews, Jennifer (Todd) Dylan Gustafson, William Jr., Gavin Ryan Fisher, Caitlin, Megan Brian McGurgan, Daryl Smith. Donations In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Church of the Ascension in Jan's Memory. Services Jan's visitation will be on Tuesday April 3 from 2-4 7-9 at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane (between Rte. 390 Long Pond Rd.) Her Funeral Service will be held Wednesday at 10 AM at Church of the Ascension (1360 Lake Ave. Rochester, NY 14613) Interment Riverside Cemetery. Additional Information Janice grew up in Horseheads, NY. Her interests included music, choirs, piano player at 8 years of age. She was a Triangle Girls Member with the Eastern Star. She attended Fredonia College where she received her Bachelors in Music. She received her Master in Administration from Brockport. She became a music teacher in Hamburg, NY and a music teacher at Wayne Central. She moved to Rochester in 1978. She married her husband that year in Orchard Park. She was a Fine Arts Director in Brighton. Janice was teacher of the year while at Wayne Central, received multiple music awards. She always wanted to be with the surdents. Her "Best Day" was the wedding of her son Peter Theresa. Disney vacations were special to her and so was Christmas. She enjoyed musicals, choir music and attended all local Broadway Shows. Janice was very giving, family oriendted, a planner, traditional and a big kid at heart. Her hobbies included cross stitch, crocheting, volunteered at church, performer with GPAS Greece Performing Art Society, organzied garden tours, was a Meek Food Cupboard Volunteer.
