A talented clarinetist, she played professionally, conducted and taught several generations of musicians, including her own grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She earned her undergraduate degree in Music Education at the Milwaukee State Teachers' College (now the University of Milwaukee). She later earned her Master's in Music Education from Western Connecticut State University. She moved to Brooklyn, NY, where she embraced the Italian culture of her husband and his family. She moved to Peekskill in Westchester County, NY, where she raised her family. Jeanette was involved in both the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts with her children, serving as Den Mother and GS Cookie Chairperson. Jeanette was a world traveler whose journeys led her throughout all of Europe, Russia, Cuba, China, Japan, Bermuda, Poland, Mexico and Brazil. She participated in medical missionary work with her husband and children in Guatemala, Nicaragua, Honduras, and the British West Indies. Foreign exchange students were welcomed to her home for many years. Music was always her passion. She played clarinet with the Catholic Symphony Orchestra, Milwaukee, and with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. Jeanette was a music teacher in the Lakeland School District for over 30 years and was on staff at the Bennett Conservatory of Music in Croton-on-Hudson.
She spent the last 22 years in Rochester, NY, where she remained active with musical endeavors with the Roberts Wesleyan College Orchestra as well as with music lessons for her grandchildren.
