Jeanne (known to all her friends as Jeannie) passed away peacefully on October 28th, at age 53. Jeannie was born in 1968 in Long Island, New York, to Marianne and Walter Gibbs JR. Where she lived with her parents and brother Walter. After high school, Jeannie took to a few different jobs before finally settling down into journalism. This career would eventually see her writing for some of the most prestigious medical publications in the country, and lead to her sitting on more than one board of directors as well as many other positions. This career would, eventually, lead to her and her husband moving up to Rochester, NY. Her love of animals and huge heart was known by many and her love of jewelry making was leading her towards another branch in her life. She had just started a new company 'Jade Willow Jewelry' and was about to launch when this tragic turn of events took place. Jeannie was the type of person that would change people's lives for the better for just knowing her and talking to her. She will be deeply missed by so many people around the world. A celebration of life service will take place at Bartolomeo & Perotto Funeral Home on November 20th, 2021, from 1-4 pm. All are invited to attend. This will be a celebration of her life and as such her surviving husband, Martyn requests no formal attire to those attending. During this event there will be a small ongoing presentation of images of Jeannie as well as a box for people to leave her a message. This box will then be burnt to allow the messages inside to make their way to her. After the event, Jeannie's ashes will be scattered at a private location with her family attending.
