Herrera Life Dates: 8/26/1924 - 9/4/2003 City Of Birth: Rosebud, TX Survived by Survived by his loving wife Jean; loving son Jesse; brothers Tim (Josie) Herrera Fred (Virginia) Herrera; sisters Connie Aguilar, Virginia Castillo Kina Lewis; brothers-in-law Joe (Linda) Fazio, Tom Fazio, Augie Fazio, Andy (Sarah) Fazio; sisters-in-law Marion (Peter) DiSano Margie Fazio; several nieces, nephews, step-sisters Ann Marie Peters Mary DiPonzio; friends neighbors. History Jesse was born in Rosebud, Texas and grew up on a farm outside of Waco, Texas and later moved to Fort Worth, Texas. Jesse was a member of the United States Marine Corps where he served during WWII and during the Korean Conflict. Jesse worked at General Dynamics in Fort Worth for 19 years. He was transfered to Rochester on a government assignment for the development of the F11 airplane. It was during this time that he met Jean fell in love and became a New Yorker. He was an employee for the Eastman Kodak CO., where he retired in 1986. Following his retirement from Kodak he then became a Real Estate Agent for Century 21 Home Spirit. Donations Donations may be sent to Journey Home, 994 Long Pond Rd, Rochester NY 14626 or St. Ann`s Home, 1500 Portland Ave, Rochester NY 14621 Services Visitation Sunday September 7 from 3PM until 6PM. Jesse`s Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 AM Monday at St. Ann`s Home. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Additional Information Jesse always enjoyed doing things for others. He enjoyed traveling in his RV, swimming and fishing. Most of all, he loved being with his son while he was racing his motorcycle across the US and Canada.
