History John was born on the Greek Island Nisyros. He was very fond of his birthplace and he always looked forward to returning "home." To John there was nothing more important than family. He enjoyed travelling and spending time around the ocean. He was a very outgoing and a generous person. John was a very active and generous benefactor to the Panacia Kyra Monastery in Nisyros.
