Passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at the age of 47. Predeceased by his grandmothers, grandfathers and brother Martin Fess. John was a loving, caring and devoted husband, father, and son to his family. He is survived by his wife, Margaret; children: Alex, Kyle, Keanu, and stepdaughter Kiyomi Oliver; his parents, John Sr. (Irene) Fess, Nancy (Andy) Durham; brothers, Daniel and Micheal Fess; mother-in-law, Asako Shibazaki; uncles, Ron, Robert, Jim, and Mike Fess; aunts, Patricia Maier and Marie Kolb; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim Nice, Lisa Ward, Marcia Haun, Gary Haun, Art Wood; Also survived by several other uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many other beloved family and long time friends; best friend like a brother, Mark Webster.

Services
Friends and family may call Sunday, October 2, 2011 from 1:00-5:00 PM at the Funeral Home, 1411 Vintage Lane (between 390 Long Pond Rd.) Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 3, 2011 at 10:00 AM at the First Bible Baptist Church (990 Manitou Rd. Hilton NY). Entombment White Haven Memorial Park.
Additional Information
John had a zest for life and lived every minute of everyday to its fullest in the most positive manner. A true fan to NASCAR racing and the Dallas Cowboys. He was a dedicated Den Leader/Assistant Cub Master for the Cub Scouts Pack 332. One of his greatest passions was body building. John was employed as a US Postal Operation Support Specialist (trouble shooting) and absolutely loved his job. He will be sorely missed by everyone that loved and knew him. Our Family wishes to thank all family and friends that have supported and comforted us during this very difficult time.
