He is survived by his children, Catherine (John) Milizia, Linda Yates, David McConachie, John (Anita) McConachie; grandchildren, Jennifer Billings, Jason Yates, David McConachie, Michael (Leila) McConachie, Daniel McConachie, Caitlyn Milizia, Christopher Milizia; great-grandchildren, Heather Billings, Gavin McConachie, Kian McConachie; sisters-in-law brothers-in-law, Shirley (Karl) Burlingame, Beatrice (Robert) Farrier, Bernard Mehserle, Carmella Mehserle, Louis, Robert, Dwight Messerle; several nieces nephews.
Services
John's visitation will be Monday 2-4 7-9 PM at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane (between Rte 390 Long Pond Rd). His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday 9:30 AM at St. Theodore's Church, 168 Spencerport Rd. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Additional Information
John served in the Navy aboard the Ticonderoga in World War II. He was a member of the Gates Chili Fire Department for 19 years and a past Battalion Chief of Company #2. He worked as a machinist at Gleason.
John's hobbies were fishing, card playing, completing puzzles, he enjoyed baking and a good martini. His enjoyment was his grandkids.
The best way to describe John is that he was happy, pleasant and good natured. He enjoyed being home and eating sweets.
