John Steven Petrella, CPA Irondequoit: Born December 26, 1936 passed away peacefully with his family by his side on June 11, 2019. John is predeceased by his parents, John S. Nancy Petrella; brother, Leonard Petrella; sister, AnnaVillia Ellie; brothers-in-law, Dr. Angelo P. Andrese Carmen Ellie. He is survived by the love of his life, wife of 59 years 63 years together, Mary Ann (Andrese) Petrella; children, John S. Jr. (Beverly) Petrella, Thomas (Dawn) Petrella Tricia Petrella; grandchildren, Brianna (Anthony Martusciello), Kaleigh Petrella, Matthew Fanghanel, Alexa Fanghanel Maria Fanghanel; great-grandchildren, Cristiano Martusciello Ariella Martusciello; sisters-in-law, Cecilia Petrella Mary Andrese; several nieces nephews. John graduated from St. John Fisher College with a B.S. in accounting, obtained his CPA license and practiced for 50 years. John was a part of the 98th division army reservist as a 3 stripe sergeant. He thoroughly enjoyed his work and clients. John was a devoted husband, father, grandfather great-grandfather. He was a family man, enjoyed vacationing and had a very strong Catholic faith. John's Funeral Mass will be celebrated 9:00 am on Thursday, June 13th at Holy Cross Church, 4492 Lake Ave, Rochester, NY 14612. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the St Jude Childrens Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105 in John's memory.
