January 9, 2015. Predeceased by parents, Josephine and John Soldi, Sr., siblings; Rita Giuliano, Louis Soldi and Rose Gingello; special friend Andy Ricigiliano. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Patricia; daughters Nancy (Lawrence) Peckham and Elaine Soldi; sister, Elaine (Anthony) Pesce; grandchildren Holly Peckham, Robert (Gabrielle) Peckham & Julie (Travis) Snider; great-grandchildren, Nicholas & Justin Peckham, T. J. & Bradley Snider; many nieces, nephews and special friends including Linda Ricigliano, Sharon & Jim Culian; and of course his loving pet, Kiki.
After a long and courageous battle with cancer, he died at the age of 82. He proudly served in the US Navy (UDT) and was a Korean War Veteran. John worked as a City Marshal, then Town Constable for many years; previously working as a Barber and owned Soldi's Barber Shop in the city. He was known for telling stories, jokes and for telling it like it is. John's visitation will be held 2-4 & 7-9 on Friday, January 16th at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Ln (between Rte 390 & Long Pond Rd) His funeral Mass will be celebrated 9:30 AM on Saturday, January 17th at St. Theodore's Church , 168 Spencerport Rd.
