He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Mary J. (Ey) Short; children, John H. Short Jr., Doreen J. (Mark) Crane, Jackie M. (Richard) Smahol; grandchildren, Casey Crane, Nicole (Michael) Fry, Jessica Smahol; great grandson, Joshua; sister, Josephine (Leroy) Myers; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
History
Jack was a WWII Army Veteran, Pacific Fleet, 11th Airborne Division, 127 A/B Engineering BN. He retired from Kodak after 41 years of dedicated service. He loved his family very much and enjoyed making memories with them all. He enjoyed gardening and fishing. He liked to play horseshoes and baseball and especially loved bowling. He liked anything outdoors and liked to play cards, especially Euchre and Poker.
