History
John was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather (Papa), and friend. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, boating, golfing, and traveling. He loved to laugh and loved life. John was an amazing family man and friend whom everyone loved and admired.

Services
Visitation Thursday July 29th from 4PM until 8PM. John`s Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 Friday at St. John the Evangelist Church, 2400 West Ridge Rd. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Additional Information
John graduated from Ben Franklin High School in 1955 and from RIT in 1958 with an Associate`s Degree in Marketing. John built homes under the name of "Carefully Built Homes by John E. Tracey" in the 1960`s. He ventured into other areas, including real estate. He became involved in the garage door industry and in 1984, started the Tracey Door Company, Inc. with his son, Tim Tracey. Soon after, his daughter Michelle joined the business. His wife, Joanne, and daughter, Jennifer, also were an integral part of the business. Currently, the third generation of John`s family is helping to run Tracey Door Company. John`s granddaughter, Jessica Stundtner, has been working at Tracey Door Company for three years. In July of 1999, John`s 6th grandchild was born with life threatening birth defects. She spent her entire 6 1/2 month life in the NICU at Golisano Children`s Hospital at Strong. Since her passing in January of 2000, John has been an avid fundraiser for the NICU in Taylor`s memory. Thanks to John, along with "Team Taylor," over $44,000 has been raised for the NICU in Taylor`s name.
