March 30, 2013. Predeceased by his wife, Marian A. (Phillips) Baliu. Survived by his son, Donald J. (Ila) Baliu; daughter, Carol B. (Thomas) Lotta: grandchildren, Andrea (Garrett Thompson) Lotta, David (Amy Goodberry) Lotta Christopher Lotta; step-grandchildren, Latoyia DiRoma, Michael DiRoma,Jr.; step-great-grandchildren, Amonie, Tatyanna and Lilly; sister, Natalia Estrabao; sister-in-law, Frances (D. Carl) Yackel; nieces nephews. His Funeral Service will be celebrated Tuesday ?? AM at the funeral home. Entombment in Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkinson Foundation, Gift Processing Center, PO Box 5018, Hagarstown, MD 21741 in Jose's memory. Jose was at the age of 18 when he moved from Cuba to the United States. He met Marian Phillips and they were married May of 1951. He became a loving father to Donald and Carol. From then became a loving grandfather to Andrea, David and Christopher. His family was always # 1. Jose was a hard and dedicated worker. He worked at Eastman Kodak Co. for 37 years as a Foreman. His hobbies and activities included, playing golf, square dancing, gardening, traveling, playing volleyball, basketball and he participated in Crew. He was a delivery man for Meals on Wheels, a WW II Veteran, also volunteered at the Greece Food Pantry and the Presbyterian Home. Jose was very friendly, he was a caretaker, he was dependable, generous, big hearted, kind hearted, he valued education and lived life to the fullest. He was always happy and he always put others first. Jose will be missed by all who knew him.
