Joseph M. DiGabriele GREECE - February 15, 2021. Joseph is predeceased by his wife, Mary (Scardetta) DiGabriele; brothers, Nicholas & Anthony DiGabriele; sister, Lena Verace & son-in-law, Frank Lyons. He is survived by his children, Paul (Phyllis) DiGabriele & Janet Lyons; grandchildren Mark (Amy) Rodak, Lynn (Joseph) Frillici & Kelly (William) Schnupp; beloved great-granddaughters, Bella, Gabrielle, Lucy, Evelyn, Madeline & Charlotte; brother, Edward (Kathy) DiGabriele; sister-in-law, Sara DiGabriele; brother-in-law, George (Mary) Scardetta; several nieces, nephews, godchildren & dear friends.  Per NYS regulations all are required to wear a face mask and hand sanitize at the funeral home and church. Joseph was a WWII Army Veteran and served as a past commander of the VFW, Lt. Kirk Otis Post #1457. He was a retiree of Mixing Equipment Company in Rochester, NY. He was an active member at Our Mother of Sorrows Church, an usher & recipient of the 1992 Men's Club Man of the Year Award. Joseph was the DiGabriele family patriarch. A true gentleman, blessed with an incredible memory, humble & grateful, loved & respected by all. Joseph's life story will be shared during his visitation at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane (Between 390 & Long Pond Rd.), Friday, February 19th, 2-5 PM. His funeral Mass will be celebrated, Saturday, February 20th, 10AM at Our Mother of Sorrows Church, 5000 Mt. Read. Blvd. His interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery will be private.
