Joseph's visitation will be 3-7 PM Thursday, May 18th at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday at 9:30 AM at Holy Cross Church, 4492 Lake Avenue. Joe was born on May 30, 1944 to Michael Eufrasia DiPasquale. Joe grew up on Atkinson Street in the city of Rochester with four brothers, Michael, Thomas, James Alan. He enjoyed playing baseball during his youth and participated on the baseball team for Madison High School. Joe owned and operated Skips Market. He was very well liked by his customers as he had worked at Skips since he was 14 years old and obtained a long history with people in the community. During his free time, Joe enjoyed golfing and fishing. Some of his favorite areas to fish were Black Creek, Genesee River and Sodus Bay. He also loved his Red 1965 Chevy Impala Convertible. Joe enjoyed listening to 50's 60's music, he liked watching war documentaries on T.V. and was a fan of the Discovery Channel. Joe continued to love baseball and he especially "loved to hate the Yankees." He was described as quiet, strong and hardworking. Joe was a devoted husband and father to his children, grandchildren and cherished many family vacations. He was a resilient man who never gave up on any obstacle that crossed his path. Joe was a caring, generous and a selfless person as he was like a father to his many siblings over the years. Joe will be dearly missed by many people in the Rochester community. He will always be deeply loved by his family and friends. Joe's memory will live on in the hearts and minds of all who cherished and knew him.
