Joseph W. Galasso, Jr. Rochester: Joe passed away with family by his side on August 9, 2021 at the age of 76. He is predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Mary Rose Galasso Sr. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Mary Lou Whitney Galasso; beloved daughter, Cherise Galasso (Christine); grandchildren, Abby and Logan; brother, Anthony Galasso, Sr.; brother-in-law, Bob Whitney (Emily); sister-in-law, Pat Large (Don); many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Joe was much loved by his family and countless friends. He also greatly enjoyed the challenge of the golf course, especially as a member of Ridgemont Country Club. Geneva and Elmira, NY were home for Joe during the early years of his youth. He proudly served his country in the Vietnam War and was decorated with The Purple Heart and Air Medals. He spent many years in the Rochester business community in the computer information field including Eastman Kodak, Information Associates and at SCT SunGard. Joe's burial will be at the convenience of the family. A family reception for friends will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing may contribute to the MCC Foundation, the Ridgemont Country Club student scholarship fund or charity of choice in Joe's memory.
