Greece: April 9, 2016. Joe is survived by his wife, Phyllis (Gayo) Marsala; children, Tony (Michele) Marsala, Joe (Cindy) Marsala, Patricia (Don) Salamone, Robert (Joanne) Marsala, David (Jaqueline) Marsala; grandchildren, Joseph Marsala, Nicole (Kevin) Hunt, Christine Salamone, Bobby Marsala Jr., Brandon (Maria) Marsala, Jamee (Kelly) Marsala, Meghan (Patrick) Culligan, Amanda Marsala, Heather Marsala, Laura Marsala, Michael Marsala, Dave Marsala Jr., Samantha Marsala; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Rosie (Sam) Plumeri. Joseph was born in Rochester and completed his education at East High School. He later married Phyllis, his wife of 61 years whom he met in high school. They were blessed with 5 children, 13 grandchildren and (almost) 8 great-grandchildren, #8 comes in May! The greatest times for him were spent with his wife, children and grandchildren. He was fortunate to travel to Mexico, Las Vegas, Hawaii, Italy and Florida. He loved working on his model airplanes, working outdoors, going to local casinos and dancing with Phyllis. He attended Moose Club, enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and shooting with his grandchildren. He was a forever fan of the NY Yankees and loved the Buffalo Bills. Joseph will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. No prior visitation. Joe's Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Cathedral, 296 Flower City Park. Private Interment. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Judes Children's Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105 in Joe's memory.
