He is survived by his loving wife, Grace (Latona) Bellave; devoted sons, Joseph (Wendi) Bellave Jr, Robert L. (Ann Marie) Bellave; grandchildren, Patrick, Holly, Adam, Gionno; sisters, Jean Frances; sister-in-law brothers-in-law; the favorite uncle of many adoring nieces nephews.
Services
Joseph's visitation will be held 2-4 7-9 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM on Thursday at Our Mother of Sorrows Church, 5000 Mt. Read Blvd. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Additional Information
Joseph was 18 years old when he joined the US Army Air Corp. He became a Corporal and was a Weather Observer and a US Pistol Marksman. When he returned home, he married, Grace Latona. He owned the contractor business of SP Bellave Sons. Joseph will be missed by all who knew him.

Sr. (Margaret Dattilo) Capuano and grandchildren, Donald Jr, Marca, Marisa, Matthew, Molly; beloved deceased daughter Alysandra Irene; daughter Dolores (Jack) Amico, and grandchildren John (Tina), Nicole, Alyssa (Rob Richard), Amanda Joy, Elizabeth and Joseph P.; daughter and care giver Claudia (Alan) Adams, and grandchildren, Alan II, Katherine, Rebecca, Joseph Anthony, Ann Elizabeth, Sarah and Jo Anna; son Joseph P. Jr. (Catherine Bleau Farrell) and grandchildren, Michael, Michele and Mary Jo; Son Thomas N. History
Joe was particularly proud of US NAVY service abroad the USS Battleship West Virginia 1933 - 1937. He started his postal service career as a clerk to eventually become Assistant Postmaster of Rochester - If you needed a cup of coffee, Joe would buy you one. He was the former owner of Mrs. Burton's Fried Pies, past President of the Holy Name Society, a Knight of Columbus, original participant "Old Newsboys / Lend a Hand Fund", a participant in the reconstruction of the Original School of the Holy Childhood. He was a renowned breakfast cook at the Post Office picnics, a Tax preparer 1952 thru 2003. Joe's was Particularly thankful for the humane and understanding care of Doctor Sandy Sorrentino, Marie and office.
