Rochester: November 22, 2014. Predeceased by her parents, Cataldo Rose (DiFarria) Varesano; sisters, Antoinette (Dominic) Gioseffi, Mary Varesano; niece, Laura Gioseffi (John) Frazer. Survived by her nephews, Raymond (Marie) Gioseffi, Ben (Elaine) Gioseffi; 5 great nieces great-nephews, Raymond Jr (Tammy) Gioseffi, David (Coleen) Gioseffi; Julie Mazzucco, Lynn (Al) Linder, Karen Anten; 14 great-great-nieces great-great-nephews; 3 great-great-great nieces nephews. Josephine was a 1947 graduate of Jefferson High School, had an Associates Degree from RBI, was an employee of Art Craft Optical Taylor Instrument companies and a beautician at the Berkley Beauty Shop. Visitation is 3-6 PM on Friday at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane (between 390 Long Pond Rd). Josephine's funeral mass will be celebrated 10 AM Saturday at St. Thomas More Church, 2617 East Ave, Rochester. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Josephine. Josephine was born on July 21, 1928. She graduated from Jefferson High School in Rochester, NY. Throughout her entire life, Josephine maintained her friendships from high school. Josephine went on to receive her Associates Degree from Rochester Business Institute. During her adult life, Josephine worked for Artcraft Optical, Taylor Instrument finally Berkley Beauty Salon for more than 10 years. She was an active member of the Rochester Hairdresser Association and served on it as an officer for many years. Some of the special events that meant most to Josephine was spending time with her family during the holidays. Her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and especially her great-great nieces and great-great nephews gave her a lot of joy in her life. Josephine also enjoyed bowling and was known to be a very social and fun loving person. Josephine will be dearly missed.
