Joyce’s life was a true reflection of her devotion to her family; she was truly happiest when surrounded by them. She especially enjoyed her favorite meals of KFC and LaFamiglia Pizza, never turning down a sweet treat throughout the day. If you knew Joyce, she was always the first one to call and sing “Happy Birthday” to her loved ones. Joyce faced every challenge with remarkable strength and resilience, including her 4-year battle with lung cancer. Through it all, she continued to live life fully, and many would have never known she was battling cancer. Most of all, Joyce loved spending time with all her grandchildren, forming special bonds, memories, and traditions with each and every one of them. These memories are ones that will be cherished forever.
A private graveside service will be held for Joyce at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the nurses and volunteers at Journey Home, Dr. Kamath and the staff at the U of R Wilmot Cancer Institute for their outstanding care and compassion.
