Schlemmer, Karle B. Greece: Journeyed home on June 30, 2020, at the age of 87. Predeceased by his loving wife, Madelyn, Karle leaves behind his children, Lynne (William) Bianchi; Jan (Joseph) Haungs; Carol (James) Grandholm; and Karle (Jean) Schlemmer; ten grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; sister-in-law Rita Tschiderer, cousins, nieces, nephews and many good friends. Karle proudly served his country in the US Army, Occupational Forces, from 1953-1955. He was a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology and worked as a manufacturing engineer at Eastman Kodak Company for 38 years. Karle was blessed with 30 years of retirement which he spent enjoying his family, attending grandchildren's sporting and musical events, poker games with treasured friends, dinners, and driving his car. Karle was known by his family and friends for being easy to talk to, his remarkable memory, his love of card games, his crossword puzzle skill, and his sense of humor which he never lost. His memory will live on in all who were blessed to know him. Honoring Karle's wishes, he gifted himself to the University of Rochester Anatomical Gift Program. No services will be held at this time.
