Katherine was born to her parents Raymond Armada (Deringer) Craft, August 10, 1931 in Rochester NY. There family made their home in the Winton Rd Merchants Rd. neighborhoods.
She was a Mercy Graduate and during her time in high school she looked forward to attending school dances. She was introduced to her husband Gene L. DeHollander and soon thereafter the two were married on August 5, 1950. They went on to have 4 children of their own, made their home in Greece, NY and lived there for over 70 years.
Katherine's appearance was always very important to her. Her jewelry, outfits and hair always had to be just so. That did not mean she put herself before others, just the opposite was true. She had a selfless and devoted approach to everyone she loved. She always put others first!
She will be remembered for having a personality of many layers. She was: quiet, spunky when needed to be, social, adventurous, had a sense of humor, industrious and she never missed a happy hour while living at Crimson Ridge.
Family outings that created a lifetime of memories were as simple as heading out camping. Once at camp her family eagerly awaited her famous camp stew to be served. She and Gene eventually purchased a cottage on Honeoye Lake. There, the whole family enjoyed summers, boating, swimming and fishing. Whether she was at the cottage, home or making her way to a camp site Katherine's pantry was always full of whatever her family may need.
During her free time when she wasn't caring for others Katherine enjoyed listening to music by, Johnny Cash, Big Band Sounds, Marty Robbins Engelbert Humperdinck. She looked forward to lunches with her Mercy HS girlfirends, going on wine bus tours and scrapbooking with her family.
Katherine's fondest love was her love of family. Her enthusiasm watching her grandchildren at all of their events was not to be denied. This is where her spunky attitude seemed to come out the most. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
