Hellis, Lee Scott Greece: Tuesday, January 27, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. Lee was born July 28, 1985 in Rochester, NY. Predeceased by his mother, Patricia Hellis. He is survived by his loving wife, Meghann (Pochatko) Hellis; son, Samuel Hellis; mother, Bonnie Schleyer; mother-in-law & father-in-law, Lydia & Richard Pochatko; sister, Holly (Chad) Burgio; brothers, Nick (Stephanie) Hellis & Malcolm Waddell; brother-in-law, Daniel Pochatko; sister-in-law, Justine Pochatko; nieces & nephews, Kenneth, Giavanna, Chad, Nick & Carter. Lee's family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Gordon & Jane Munding, also to Dr. Marcus Noel & staff, lastly the caregivers at the Palliative Care Unit in Strong Memorial Hospital. Lee's visiting hours will be Friday, January 30 from 2-4 & 6-9 PM at funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane, Rochester, NY. His funeral service will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 31 at Northridge Church, 2052 Saint Paul Street, Rochester, NY. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rochester West Young Life, PO Box 60, N. Chili NY 14514 in Lee's memory. Lee was born on July 28, 1985 in Rochester, NY. During high school he met the love of his life, Meghann Pochatko. They were later married and were blessed with their son, Samuel. He was proud to have achieved his Masters Degree, in Education. Most recently, Lee worked as a salesman for Raymour & Flanigan. He was very fond of the annual trips to Boston with Meghann to take in a Red Sox game. Lee also cherished the trip to Notre Dame with his son. His favorite bible pasage was Isaiah 41:10, loved "Oldies" & his favorite movie was Rudy. Lee's favorite teams were Notre Dame, Syracuse basketball, the Boston Red Sox & Buffalo Bills. Lee had a contagious laugh, he loved people fully. If you ever needed something, even if a stranger, he would do it for you.
