Louis was born in Rochester, NY on November 21, 1921 to his parents Louis Elsie (Brunke) Pierson. He had a fun childhood growing up on Dewey Ave. His close proximity to the Charlotte neighborhood served he and his friends well growing up. Like most young boys in the area he found himself enjoying the beach, and spending time playing in and around the Genesee River. During his teen years he attended Edison High School. It was during these years he began developing his skills as a notable Mr. Fix it. He thought nothing about dismantling a car in the yard and then putting it back together again. This fascination wasn't just limited to cars as he found the same pleasure in taking apart most anything and putting it back together again. Louis Proudly served his country. He entered into the US Navy, November 21, 1939 and was honorably discharged October 12, 1945 as a Machinist's Mate First Class. His longing to continue to serve his country found him re-enlisting into the Coast Guard, December 16, 1947 where he continued to serve until December 17, 1951. Louis' affinity for the Coast Guard allowed him to find the love of his life Germaine Folwell. Germaine's father introduced the two and their love affair began. Louis always being dedicated and reliable found himself working at Eastman Kodak, Company. He devoted himself to his career there for over 30 years before retiring. Louis enjoyed watching the TV Show American Pickers. To every dog he met he would always say "your the best one." His love of animals wasn't limited to dogs. When it came to animals he was a gentle soul always concerned about the life of those he encountered. He looked forward to spending the Holiday's with family. He especially enjoyed the view of these family times through the eyes of his grandchildren. Louis was musically talented. He enjoyed playing the bagpipes. He was a member of the Rochester Pipe Band and the Masonic Pipe Band as well. He could best be described as quiet, having a sarcastic sense of humor, spirited, mellowed with age, independent, outspoken, private and a master of many trades. He will be sorely missed by those who loved him.
