Rochester: May 22, 2015. Lucy is survived by her niece, Louise Granat; nephew, Joseph Polizzi III; great-niece, Gina Granat; great-great-niece, Naomi Ortiz; cousins, Cora Portella, Lena Abbruzze, Donald (Ruth) Palermo, John (Judy) Spennacchio; many other cousins and dear friends. Lucy's visitation will be Sunday from 1-4 PM at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage lane (between 390 Long Pond Rd.) Her funeral service will be celebrated 10 AM on Monday at St. Jude the Apostle Church, 4100 Lyell Rd. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John's Nursing Home, 150 Highland Avenue Rochester, NY 14620 or Lifetime Care, 3111 Winton Rd South, Rochester NY 14623 in Lucy's memory. Lucy was born on November 23, 1918. She grew up on Orange Street in Rochester, NY. Lucy worked at Stromberg Carlson as an Assembler and eventually retired from there. She also worked part time as a beautician and was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Lucy enjoyed all special events and holiday gatherings throughout her life. Some of her favorite things to do was taking care of family and watching Wheel of Fortune T.V. program. Lucy was known to be a very generous and loving person. She will be dearly missed and her memory will live on through many friends and family members.
