Luigi DiFilippo passed away on January 16, 2024. He is predeceased by his parents, Nicolo and Elelia DiFilippo, his sister Antonietta, his sister-in-law, Barbara DiFilippo; and his long-time partner, Mary Sahrle. He is survived by his brothers Gennaro "Jerry" DiFilippo, Anthony "Bruno" DiFilippo, and Frank (Deborah) DiFilippo; his nieces and nephews: Dawn (Nancy) DiGennaro-Case, Franca (Matthew) DiFilippo-Girard, Jeremy (Becky) DiFilippo, Antonio "Tony" DiFilippo, Antoinette DiFilippo, Sarah (Michael) Fico; his great-nieces and great-nephews: Dominic DiGennaro, Katie DiGennaro, Edward Case, Rosaline (Aaron Yount) DiFilippo, Reilly Girard, Elelia Girard, Cecelia DiFilippo, Cristian DiFilippo, Michael Fico, & Shilah DiFilippo.
He was an active member of several Italian-American clubs including the Sons and Daughters of Italy and the Gates Amita Club.
Luigi's life story will be shared during his visitation, Friday, January 19th, 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane (Between 390 & Long Pond Rd.). Luigi's funeral mass will be celebrated, Saturday, Janaury 20th, 11 AM at Parish of the Holy Family, 4100 Lyell Rd. Immediately following, Luigi will be laid to rest in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Order Sons & Daughters of Italy, 84 Mulcahy Blvd., Rochester, NY 14624 in his memory.
