Luis was born April 7, 1924, in San Sabastian, Puerto Rico to Ramon Ramos Acevedo & Maria Eulalia Velez Cardona Ramos. He loved to play cards, shoot pool, play dominos and was the proud owner of the first Latin Grocery Store in the City of Rochester. On September 30, 2021, he passed away at the age of 97. Luis is predeceased by his wife, Amparo Ramos. He is survived by his children, Marie Ramos, Eddie (Lin Myong) Cruz, Wanda (Douglas) Smith, Joseph (Cecilia) Ramos, Thomas Wagner, Hewitt (Luz Maria Calixto) Ramos, Dixon Ramos, James (Vonda) Ramos; many grandchildren & great-grandchildren; siblings, Blanca Ramos & Ernesto Ramos; several nieces, nephews, cousins & dear friends. Luis' life story will be shared during his visitation Thursday, October 7th, 2-4 & 7-9 at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane (between 390 & Long Pond Rd.). All are welcome to meet the family at the Lake Ave. Gate of Holy Sepulchre Cemetery for his entombment, Friday, October 8th at 12 PM.
